Project on Snake River in Washington State is gravity concrete structure 2790 ft long, 103 ft high, having non-overflow left abutment section 560 ft long, concrete powerhouse 661 ft long comprising service bay, erection bay and 6 generator bays; general capacity is 540,000 kw; navigation lock is 86 ft wide, 675 ft long with single lift of 103 ft; structure contains: 1,277,000 cu yd of concrete, 3,900,000 bags of cement, 47,964,000 lb of reinforcing steel and 52,500,000 lb of structural steel.
