Investigation of prestressed reinforced concrete for highway bridges -- 5
Analytical solution is developed and presented for predicting possibility of anchoragezone cracking and for design of transverse reinforcement to control such cracking; implications of theoretical solution are checked against results from total of 177 tests; variables covered were -- size and shape of cross section, eccentricity of prestressing force, ratio of loaded area to cross-sectional area, distribution of prestressing force, type of prestressing, concrete quality, amount, type, and location of transverse reinforcement, and time-dependent effects.
