Static tests on unsymmetrical plate girders main test series
Two unsymmetrical plate girders made of A36 steel were tested under statically applied loading; girder specimens, test set-up, testing procedure and results are described and discussed; primary objectives of tests were -- verification of new theory for determination of ultimate load of unsymmetrical plate girders and investigation of behavior of girder components under increasing load; correlation between test results and theory was within 5%.
