Shear failure in reinforced concrete beams without web reinforcement
Tests are reported to show that critical diagonal cracking load is misleading concept and unsatisfactory failure criterion; dowel action of tensile reinforcement is discussed in light of experimental data; relation between diagonal cracking load and limiting longitudinal strain; limiting deformation as criterion of load capacity; collapse conditions under bending and shear. (n 751 Feb 1969 p 129-31, 133, 135, n 752 Mar p 237, 239, 241, 243) (25162)
