Brief description of under-water main installed by Corporation of Grangemouth Gas Department in Stirlingshire, England; line laid in duplicate, as precautionary measure; trench cut by dredging and trimmed by divers; main assembled horizontally on punts, lifted into vertical position by cranes, and lowered into place with timber structure which gave just sufficient buoyancy; before releasing timber frame, divers packed up each joint to its correct level.
