Concrete bridge pier righted after slide causes tilting
Straightening up 151-ft pier that had been tilted out of plumb by slide just below Grand Coulee Dam, by excavating around it within circular cofferdam, thus relieving earth pressure against shore side, and then building up block of concrete to serve as retaining wall at toe of sloping bank, to resist any further tendency to slide down against pier.
