AbstractZeta-potential measurements provide new informations on cement hydration, gel structure formation and the effects of chemical admixtures. The formation and significance of a zeta-potential of cement in aqueous suspension is discussed with respect to the hydration of cement and some new data on the zeta-potential of cement and fly ash under various conditions are presented.
