The zeta - potential of cement
Part IV. Effect of simple salts
AbstractThe zeta-potential of portland cement, blast furnace slag cement and fly ash has been measured in solutions of various simple salts. The results obtained again confirm the validity of a proposed modified Grahame model of the reactive double layer on cement. Furthermore, the results are a contribution to enhance our knowledge on the action of chemical admixtures in fresh concrete.
