Tactile ground surface indicator
Abstract There is provided a tactile ground surface indicator, comprising: a body, made of a robust material and comprising an indicator portion configured 5 to be positioned above a ground surface; and a retaining portion receivable in a cavity provided in the ground, the retaining portion being formed from a deformable material and adapted to deform against a wall of the cavity when the tactile ground surface indicator is inserted into the cavity to retain the tactile ground surface indicator in the ground, 10 wherein the retaining portion is permanently fixed to the body. There is also provided a method of manufacturing a tactile ground surface indicator, the method comprising: forming a body from a robust material, the body having an indicator portion 15 configured to be positioned above a ground surface; and moulding a retaining portion over the body such that the retaining portion is permanently fixed to the body to be receivable in a cavity provided in the ground, the retaining portion being made from a deformable material and being configured to deform against a wall of the cavity when the tactile ground surface indicator is driven into the 20 cavity to retain the tactile ground surface indicator in the ground. -+K 3 yXE>\ 9 Fig. IA -- + KFig.l1B K Fig. Fg.IDi 15 Fig. 1D Fig. 1 C
