TACTILE GROUND SURFACE INDICATOR IMPROVEMENTS
The present disclosure relates to a directional tactile ground surface indicator (TGSI). A directional TGSI provides directional guidance for visually impaired persons in situations where there are no other tactile cues. The directional TGSIs disclosed herein comprise an upper surface comprising alternating surface variations, so as to provide both directional guidance for the visually impaired, and directional slip resistance and/or traction for all people walking thereon, which exceeds the requirements of the relevant Australian Standard.
