A unit for a temporary perimeter system, the unit comprising a crash barrier module having a body. The crash barrier module connectable with at least one other crash barrier module to form a crash barrier line that can be used to define a perimeter. A barrier attachment module attached to the crash barrier module. The barrier attachment module having a body, the body comprising io an elongate top part and a side wall depending from the elongate top part towards the ground. In use, the elongate top part sits on at least a portion of the top surface of the crash barrier module; and the side wall depends down over the safe wall of the crash barrier module so that in use, persons can access the barrier attachment module while the safe wall of the crash barrier module is substantially screened 15 from view by the side wall.
