A temporary perimeter containment assembly 10 comprising; a main frame (12, Fig 1) having a central section , the central section (20, Fig 11) comprising central posts (22, Fig 6) which are parallel and spaced apart from each other, each post being adjustable in height to allow the post to extend fully between a floor surface and a ceiling of a building floor, bars (300, Fig 11) or gates 152, extending between the central posts. Each central post in cross-section is rectangular, including opposing first side faces and opposing second side faces, wherein each of the first and second faces comprises a continuous channel (222a, 222b, Fig 11) extending the length of the post between lower and upper ends thereof.
