Abstract A temporary perimeter containment assembly 10 is to be disposed adjacent an edge 102 of a floor 104 of a building 100 during construction, to extend from the floor surface 108 to the ceiling 110 of the floor 104, to act as a safety barrier for workers and equipment and to provide additional functional features for construction. A plurality of the containment assemblies 10 are arranged side by side, and on multiple floors, to cover the exposed side openings 118 between the floors 104 of the building 100 during construction. The containment assemblies 10 provide a barrier between the working side 112 and the live edge side 114 of the building 100.
