The invention relates to a floating type wave dissipating device. The floating type wave dissipating device comprises a floating body with a hollow cavity, an anchor moored positioning assembly connected with the floating body, and an upper wave dissipating pipe penetrating through the upper surface and the lower surface of the floating body. The floating type wave dissipating device reduces uplift pressure exerted on the wave dissipating device when eliminating wave energy.
