The construction method comprises the steps: forming a pouring and tamping hole matching with a pump pipe on the side wall of a steel tube column, wherein the pouring and tamping hole is above an upper-storey floor slab; installing the steel tube column and mounting the upper-storey floor slab, inserting the pump pipe into the pouring and tamping hole on the upper-storey floor slab, and pumping concrete to pour the core of a lower-storey steel pipe column. The invention further discloses the steel tube superposed column. Workers can work on the floor slab; the risks of working at elevated heights and overhead hoisting a hopper at night by an overhead tower crane can be avoided at the source; the influence of strong wind weather on the engineering construction progress is reduced and the construction progress is accelerated; after the pouring and tamping hole is formed, the core concrete of the steel tube column and the concrete of wall columns and floor slabs are poured synchronously on the same floor. It is unnecessary to utilize high-cast and non-vibration concrete as the column core concrete, so that the construction quality is ensured and the cost is reduced.
