The invention discloses an electronic lock for an electric bicycle. The lock comprises a plastic outer box and an airtight plastic inner box, wherein a metal lock tongue and a driving component are arranged in the outer wall, the driving component comprises a motor, a metal transmission mechanism and a motor steering control module, a main control panel is fixed in the inner box, the metal transmission mechanism is coated with a protective film, and the protective film is composed of, by weight, 1-2 parts of barium petroleum sulfonate, 8-9 parts of tetraethoxysilane, 1-2 parts of zinc carbonate, 0.9 part of expanded perlite, 1-2 parts of crystallized monox, 2-3 parts of dimethylethanolamine, 1-2 parts of mahogany petroleum sulfonate and 3-4 parts of carboxymethylcellulose. The lock has unique mechanical design and electronic design. Due to the fact that the metal transmission mechanism is coated with the protective film, long-term use of the metal transmission mechanism can be guaranteed.
