The invention discloses a novel electronic lock for an electric bicycle. The lock comprises a hard plastic outer box and an airtight hard plastic inner box, wherein a metal lock tongue, a sliding way and a driving component are arranged in the outer wall, the driving component comprises a motor, a metal transmission mechanism and a motor steering control module, a main control panel is fixed inside the inner box, the metal transmission mechanism is coated with a protective film, and the protective film is composed of, by weight, 0.9 part of benzotriazole, 21 parts of saturated polyester resin, 1-2 parts of dimethylethanolamine, 1.1 parts of rock wool, 2-3 parts of methyl trimethoxy silane, 1.2 parts of anhydrous calcium chloride, 1-2 parts of alkyl naphthalene sulfonate, and 2-3 parts of hydroxyethyl cellulose. The lock has unique mechanical design and electronic design. Due to the fact that the metal transmission mechanism is coated with the protective film, long-term use of the metal transmission mechanism can be guaranteed, and effective driving of the lock tongue can be guaranteed.
