The invention discloses a preparation method of a heat-preservation exterior wall tile. The heat-preservation exterior wall tile comprises 50 parts of gangue, 1 part of rectorite, 1 part of phenyl alkylsulfonate, 4 parts of glycerol triacetate, 5 parts of sodium silicate, 3 parts of carboxymethyl cellulose, 10 parts of borax, 4 parts of limestone and 0.5 part of apatite, and is prepared by the following steps: preliminarily crushing the materials above; adding the crushed materials into a ball mill and mixing the crushed materials uniformly through ball milling; grinding the obtained materials with water to obtain slurry; sieving the obtained slurry; spraying the slurry into powder by a spray drying tower and performing ageing; performing dry-pressing to make the powder into a green body by using a large-tonnage press; putting the green body on a backing plate through a vacuum absorber; conveying the green body arranged on the backing plate together with the backing plate into a roller kiln for sintering; cooling the green body; performing glazing; and performing second sintering to obtain the heat-preservation exterior wall tile. According to the invention, industrial residue of gangue is mainly used as a raw material to prepare the heat-preservation exterior wall tile which has advantages of light weight, convenient transportation, high temperature resistance, uneasy ageing, long service time, good safety and good heat preservation.
