The invention relates to a single-stage and four-line communication ship lock, aiming at solving the problem that the existing single-stage ship lock, two-stage ship lock, three-stage ship lock, four-stage ship lock, five-stage ship lock, six-stage ship lock and seven-stage ship lock waste a great deal of water. The technical scheme is as follows: lock chambers of four single-stage ship locks are communicated with one another, and a water pipe used for communicating the lock chambers is provided with a valve; water in the lock chamber A can be discharged into the lock chambers B, C or D; water in the lock chamber B can be discharged into the lock chambers A, C or D; water in the lock chamber C can be discharged into the lock chambers A, B or D; water in the lock chamber D can be discharged into the lock chambers A, B or C; when the water in one lock chamber does not need to be discharged into another lock chamber, the water pipe used for communicating the two lock chambers is closed by the valve. Shortage of water resources is more and more serious, so that the four-line ship locks which need to be built or the single-stage and multiline ship locks built in China can be built or changed into the single-stage and four-line communication ship locks.
