The invention relates to a twin-stage four-line connected ship lock. The invention aims to solve the problem of waste of much water by single-stage to seven-stage ship locks. According to the technical scheme, eight lock chambers of the twin-stage four-line ship lock are connected, and connection water-pipes have vales. Water from an A-line lock chamber can be discharged into a B-line lock chamber or a C-line lock chamber or a D-line lock chamber; water from the B-line lock chamber can be discharged into the A-line lock chamber or the C-line lock chamber or the D-line lock chamber; water from the C-line lock chamber can be discharged into the A-line lock chamber or the B-line lock chamber or the D-line lock chamber; water from the D-line lock chamber can be discharged into the A-line lock chamber of the B-line lock chamber or the C-line lock chamber; and when water from one lock chamber need not be discharged into another lock chamber, the water pipe for connecting the two lock chambers is closed off with a valve. As shortage of water resources is growing, all national four-line ship locks which need to be built or two-stage multi-line ship locks which have already existed all can be built or rebuilt into a two-stage four-line connected ship lock.
