The tapping hole brick for the split assembled converter is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 70-80 parts of large crystalline fused magnesia, 16-20 parts of graphite, 0.8-1.2 parts of silicon carbide, 2-4 parts of aluminum powder, 0.4-0.6 part of B4C and 2-4 parts of thermosetting phenolic resin. The production process of split production and overall assembly is adopted; every two split bricks are fastened by use of primary and secondary fasteners; the inner diameter of the brick is processed to have a certain taper, and then the produced tapping hole brick is stable in split quality performance, good in overall applying effect and low in abnormal accident rate, and the service life of the brick is prolonged.
