Vehicle latch device
This vehicle latch device locks or unlocks by means of engaging or separating from a rod-shaped section, and is provided with a casing and a latch (30) that is supported rotatably by the casing and that has a hook-shaped section (33) that forms a locked state by engaging the rod-shaped section. The hook-shaped section (33) has: a first support surface (38A) that opposes the rod-shaped section in the locked state; a protruding section (37) that protrudes from the first support surface (38A) and is positioned at the tip side of the hook-shaped section with respect to the first support surface (38A); and a second support surface (38B) that is the surface opposing the rod-shaped section of the protruding section (37). By means of the first support surface (38A) and the second support surface (38B) facing in differing orientations, same are disposed able to simultaneously contact the rod-shaped section.
