Sand collecting pool
The invention relates to hydraulic engineering facilities and particularly discloses a sand collecting pool. The sand collecting pool comprises a slope-bottom trench-type water inlet channel and an outlet water level control valve. A hopper-shaped sand collection well is arranged at the bottom of the slope-bottom trench-type water inlet channel. A sand-submerged feeding pump is arranged in the hopper-shaped sand collection well. A pump house is arranged above the slope-bottom trench-type water inlet channel, and a lifting control device capable of enabling the sand-submerged feeding pump to ascend and descend is arranged in the pump house. Slope of each of two sides of the slope-bottom trench-type water inlet channel is equal to or larger than 30 degrees. By the aid of the sand collecting pool, sand content of water of the Yellow river can be increased to 600kg/m<3>, requirements of long-distance transportation of sand are met, sand transportation efficiency is improved, and sand transportation cost is lowered under the condition of same electric energy consumption.
