The invention discloses negative ion environment-friendly wallpaper and a production method thereof. The production method includes the steps: 1, producing negative ion coating, to be specific, mixing well 12wt% to 20wt% of polyacrylate, 1wt% to 3wt% of polyacrylic acid, 5wt% to 15wt% of ferridravite, 2wt% to 6wt% to terbium oxide, 2wt% to 6wt% to C12Al7 oxide and 50wt% to 80wt% of water to obtain the negative ion coating; 2, applying the negative ion coating to polyester fiber base cloth, and performing baking. The negative ion environment-friendly wallpaper can permanently release a high quantity of negative ions, with no need for external energy excitation.
