Method for preparing cordierite ceramic from manganese slag
The invention relates to the technical field of ceramic materials and discloses a preparation of a cordierite ceramic material by taking a manganese slag as a raw material and a preparation method. The raw materials are manganese slag, soapstone, commercial alumina and quartz; the ceramic material with excellent strength can be sintered at the temperature of 1200-1240 DEG C through a solid phase sintering method. The specific preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing the manganese slag, the soapstone, the commercial alumina and the quartz by proportion, adding a trace amount of PVA bonder, performing compression moulding by a steel mould, drying the moulded green compact, putting into a box-type energy-saving resistance furnace, sintering for 2h under a specific temperature according to a certain temperature raising procedure, and taking out after the product to be sintered is cooled with furnace to obtain the composite ceramic product by taking the cordierite as a main crystal phase. The method has a certain manganese slag utilization amount, has the advantages of simple process without secondary pollution, solves the environment pollution problem by effectively utilizing the manganese slag and realizes the recycling and reusing; simultaneously the product provided by the invention is a composite ceramic material mainly comprising the cordierite with excellent performance and extensive use.
