The invention provides a fireproof material comprising the following raw materials in parts by weight: 39-60 parts of black mud powder or black mud particles, 10-45 parts of furnace slag powder or furnace slag particles, or 10-50 parts of a mixture of the black mud powder or the black mud particles and the furnace slag powder or the furnace slag particles, red silica powder or white afrodite powder, 5-15 parts of cyanite powder, andalusite powder or fibrolite powder, 2-4 parts of zirconium silicate powder or yttrium stabilized zirconium oxide powder, 8-15 parts of cement, 3-5 parts of sodium hexametaphosphate, 3-5 parts of fibers and 0.5-1 part of aluminum sol, yttrium sol, zirconium sol or silicon-aluminum sol, wherein when the mixture of the black mud powder or the black mud particles and the furnace slag powder or the furnace slag particles is adopted, 25-35 parts by weight of the black mud powder or the black mud particles are adopted, and 15-23 parts by weight of the furnace slag powder or the furnace slag particles are adopted. The fireproof material provided by the invention has the advantages and positive effects of being high in fireproof temperature, low in manufacturing cost, simple in preparation method, easy to produce, long in fireproof time, high in fireproof temperature, low in production cost and stable in quality.
