The invention relates to an impeller-type fire pump. The impeller-type fire pump comprises a pump body and an impeller installed inside the pump body, wherein the impeller comprises a nickel base alloy impeller body and a zirconium carbide series ceramic material layer outside the impeller body, the pump body comprises a copper alloy pump body, the zirconium carbide series ceramic material layer of the outer surface of the impeller body and an aluminium oxide series ceramic material layer of the inner surface of the pump body, a copper alloy and a nickel alloy are simple in composition, and the strength requirement of the fire pump can be met; through the coating of the ceramic materials on the surfaces of the copper alloy and the nickel alloy, the anticorrosion, thermostability and antiscale performances of the materials are improved.
