A corundum slag-boron mud refractory castable which is excellent in use performance and low in production cost is prepared by adopting corundum slag, boron mud, magnesia, aluminum ash, silicon carbide, high bauxite fine powder, magnesite, aluminium nitride, hafnium boride, zirconium oxide, yttrium oxide, sodium hexametaphosphate, carboxyl methyl cellulose sodium and pure calcium aluminate cement as raw materials, so as to achieve the purposes of comprehensively recycle corundum slag and boron mud and reducing the production cost; the performance indexes of the corundum slag-boron mud refractory castable are as follows: after the corundum slag-coal gangue refractory castable is dried for 24h at the temperature of 110 DEG C, the cold crushing strength is 22.6-26.4 MPa; after the corundum slag-coal gangue refractory castable is calcined for 3h at the temperature of 1350 DEG C, the cold crushing strength is 120-160 MPa, and the volume density is 2.2-2.8 g/cm<3>.
