The refractory castable is prepared form corundum slag, thermal power plant flyash, magnesia, aluminum ash, dolomite, zircon, tantalum carbide, zirconium boride, silicon carbide, polycrystalline mullite fiber, sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium hydroxy cellulose and pure calcium aluminate cement and the aims of comprehensively utilizing corundum slag and thermal power plant flyash and reducing production cost can be achieved. The prepared corundum slag-thermal power plant flyash refractory castable has the following property indexes: after the refractory castable is dried for 24h at 110 DEG C, the cold compression strength is 20.3-24.6MPa; after the refractory castable is dried for 2h at 1350 DEG C, the cold compression strength is 140-170MPa and the volume density is 2.7-3.1g/cm<3>.
