Combined-type soft steel damper
The invention relates to a combined-type soft steel damper. The combined-type soft steel damper is composed of a soft steel damper body and a viscoelastic damper body. The soft steel damper body is formed by a box-type cross section steel pipe and an H-shaped steel piece in an outer enclosing mode, and the viscoelastic damper body is formed by combining five viscoelastic damper units by using high-strength bolts. Each viscoelastic damper unit is composed of a steel plate and a pressed vulcanized rubber layer, a round hole is formed in the central steel plate of the viscoelastic damper body, a fastening pin is inserted into the round hole, and the gap between the pin and inner plates is filled with viscoelastic materials to reduced the impact force on the pin and the inner plates. In order to prevent the pin from dropping off, the two ends of the pin are provided with screw nuts. Small displacement occurs on buildings under the external actions including earthquakes, wind and the like, the viscoelastic damper units generate relative displacement in a certain direction along with the interlayer, and through the force transmission by a shear bolt, the force is consumed in the steel plates and pressing vulcanized rubber; when large displacement occurs, the fastening pin stops the viscoelastic damper body from continuously deforming, and the soft member continue bending to consume energy until giving-in.
