The invention discloses a continuous casting tundish working lining slag line coating material which includes following components, by mass: 33-37% of dead burnt magnesite sand being 1-3 mm in particle size, 47-53% of dead burnt magnesite sand being 0.3-1 mm in particle size, 9-11% of dead burnt magnesite sand being 0.088 mm in particle size, 2.3-2.7% of silicon micro powder, 0.1-0.2% of sodium tripolyphosphate, 0.6-0.7% of calcium lignosulphonate, 0.1-0.3% of industrial salt, 0.8-1.2% of wood fiber and 0.4-0.6% of [alpha]-Al2O3 powder. The coating material not only is saved in cost but also is high in strength, thermal shock resistance and anti-stripping property, is excellent in invasion resistance of a melt or a gas, is excellent in coating performance and adhesive performance on a protected material, is free of cracking and stripping and is free of a chemical reaction with a base material during use.
