The invention relates to a connector for connecting an FRP (Fiber-reinforced Plastic) rib material and a connecting method using the connector to connect the FRP rib material. The connector comprises a sleeve and a central separation plate, wherein an axial through hole is formed in the center of the sleeve, the central separation plate is arranged in the sleeve and is fixed at the center of the axial through hole of the sleeve; the side wall of the central separation plate is fixed with the inner wall of the sleeve. The FRP rib material connecting method adopts the connector and the method of injecting rib glue into the connector to complete the connection of the FRP rib material; the overlapping joint length of the FRP rib material is shortened, the waste of FRP rib material is avoided; the cost is saved; the connector can be used as being plugged; the connection is efficient and fast; the exertion of the FRP rib material strength is improved and the bonding with concrete is reliable.
