The invention provides an application method of an automatic door stop. The automatic door stop comprises a shell, an inertial rolling part and a braking device; the inertial rolling part and the raking device are mounted in the shell; the braking device comprises a braking driving part, a spring and a braking part; the braking driving part is in movable fit in the shell; the braking driving part is arranged on a driving inclined surface; the braking part is connected with the braking driving part; the braking part is located under the braking driving part; the spring is located between the braking driving part and the inner lower end face of the shell; the inertial rolling part is located between the driving inclined surface and the inner upper end face of the shell; in use, the automatic door stop drives the braking driving part to move downwards by use of the inertial rolling part, and a movable door can be prevented from closing quickly by use of the contact friction between the braking part of the braking driving part and the floor, and a child can be effectively protected from being pinched by the movable door.
