The invention belongs to the field of decoration materials and discloses a composite nanometer thermal insulation material and a preparing method thereof. The material comprises nanometer magnesium aluminum silicate, nanometer ceric oxide, silicon nitride powder, expanded perlite, polyurethane foaming plastic, polyether sulfone resin, isoprene rubber, diisobutyl ketone and magnesium lignosulfonate. The preparing method includes 1) separately weighing the nanometer magnesium aluminum silicate, the nanometer ceric oxide, the silicon nitride powder and the expanded perlite according to weights, adding into a high-speed mixer, fully mixing, and keeping the mixture for further use; 2) weighing the polyurethane foaming plastic, the polyether sulfone resin, the isoprene rubber, the diisobutyl ketone and the magnesium lignosulfonate according to weights, heating and mixing uniformly; and 3) adding the powder in the step 1) into the mixture obtained in the step 2), stirring, and performing compression moulding after stirring to obtain the composite nanometer thermal insulation material.
