The invention provides a nano heat insulation plate as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The nanometer heat insulation plate is mainly prepared from the following raw materials in parts by mass through dry mixing, compression molding and hydrophobic treatment: 10-30 parts of hollow glass microspheres, 50-70 parts of heat insulation powder, 5-20 parts of an opacifying agent, 2-10 parts of fibers and a water repellent agent, and the dosage of the water repellent agent is 30-180 kg/m < 3 > according to the volume of the nanometer heat insulation plate. The nanometer heat insulation plate is prepared by adopting a dry method, has the characteristics of good heat insulation performance, uniform texture, stable compression performance, long-term service with the highest temperature range of 350-650 DEG C, low production cost and the like, and is suitable for a heat insulation film for a battery cell of a common electric automobile. Therefore, the invention also provides an application of the nano heat insulation plate in preparation of a battery, in particular an application of the nano heat insulation plate in preparation of a heat insulation film of a battery cell of the battery for an electric vehicle.
