The invention relates to an improved environment-friendly building material, which is prepared from the following raw materials by weight: 15-25 parts of diatomite, 8-14 parts of titanium dioxide powder, 3-7 parts of cellulose, 5-10 parts of aluminum chloride, 12-26 parts of polyisoprene rubber, 2-5 parts of a thickening agent, 2-3 parts of Abies fabri sawdust, 6-12 parts of clamshell powder, 4-7 parts of kaolin, 8-12 parts of a foaming agent, 6-12 parts of aluminum hydroxide, 4-9 parts of tetraacetic acid, 2-6 parts of epoxy resin, and 10-24 parts of a 25%-30% magnesium oxide solution. The improved environment-friendly building material provided by the invention has heat preservation, heat insulation and sound-absorbing performance, does not produce substances harmful to human body, and has excellent environmental protection effect.
