The invention discloses a method for preparing an aerated brick from waste paper, which comprises the following step: (1) taking the following raw materials on dry basis in parts by mass: 20-30 parts of quicklime, 15-18 parts of coal gangue, 12-14 parts of cement, 20-30 parts of active waste slag, 5-7 parts of aluminum oxide, 4-6 parts of modified loess and 2-5 parts of defoaming agent. The method has the advantages of high construction waste consumption, energy saving and environment friendliness, relieves the problem of environmental pollution caused by stacking of the construction waste, and provides a new raw material for hollow bricks.
