The invention discloses a bumper post for a way. The bumper post is of a cylindrical shape, wherein a core portion of the bumper post is made from particle enhanced foam aluminum matrix composites, the outer portion of the core portion of the bumper post is packed with an elastic material layer, and a titanium alloy cylinder is arranged outside the elastic material layer. A foam substrate aluminum alloy perfectly guarantees products to have better impact instance effect, and reduces quality of the products simultaneously, and the particle enhanced foam aluminum matrix composites can perfectly adsorb impact energy.
