The invention discloses a track sand removal vehicle for both a highway and a railway. The track sand removal vehicle comprises a power device, a control system, a chassis, a sand collection and discharging device, a suspension system and a chassis on-site U-turn mechanism. The sand collection and discharging device is installed at the front end of the chassis by means of the suspension system. The power device is installed at the rear end of the chassis. The control system is used for connecting the power device, the sand collection and discharging device and the suspension system. Travelling systems of the chassis include the highway travelling system and the railway travelling system. The highway travelling system and the railway travelling system are connected with the control system and the power device through transmission systems. The power end of the sand collection and discharging device is connected with the power device through the control system. The highway travelling system and the railway travelling system are arranged on the chassis and are selectively used according to different working environments, the using range of the sand removal vehicle is improved, and the equipment cost of a railway enterprise is lowered.
