The invention relates to the field of water surface phytoplankton cleaning-up, in particular to an algae grab bucket device used for a water surface cleaning vessel. The algae grab bucket device used for the water surface cleaning vessel comprises an algae grab bucket, a grab bucket opening and closing control device, a grab bucket position control device, a base and an algae collection box. The algae grab bucket comprises a collection fork and a movable fork. The collection fork is provided with a fork body and a track fork. The movable fork is matched with the collection fork when located at the head portion of the collection fork so as to achieve collection of algae, and the movable fork can also move to the tail portion of the collection fork and bring the algae into the algae collection box. The grab bucket opening and closing control device enables a toothed belt to be tightened on opening and closing transmission gears by controlling the distance between a front side board and a rear side board, and controls the movable fork to rotate through movement of the toothed belt. The grab bucket position control device accurately controls the position of the movable fork through movement of the toothed belt. The linear collection route is adopted, the algae can be collected rapidly, and the device can be utilized repeatedly, can be carried on various cleaning vessels and is high adaptability.
