The invention discloses a method for manufacturing a mold. The method comprises the following steps that (a), a mold model is manufactured, wherein the corresponding mold model is manufactured according to the appearance of a product needing to be packed; (b), the mold model in the step (a) is placed on a plastic suction machine for carrying out plastic suction on a plastic suction cover, and the plastic suction cover is shaped; (c), new materials are prepared, magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride are prepared with the formula ratio being 1:1.1, even stirring is carried out, and a mixture is obtained; (d), the mixture in the step (c) is poured into the shaped plastic suction cover in the step (b), and the mixture can naturally heat for 2-4.5 hours at a normal temperature and then is cured to obtain an initial mold; (e), after the initial mold in the step (d) is cured, vacuum plastic suction holes are drilled within 2-3 hours; and (f), the mold in the step (e) is cooled and then firmly pasted to a wood plate or an aluminum plate through glue, and mold arrangement on-machine production is started. The cost of the mold can be effectively lowered, the use efficiency of the mold can be improved, the manufacturing time of the mold can be shortened, and the product quality can be improved.
