The invention discloses an Ni-Zn soft magnetic ferrite material comprising the raw materials in parts by mole: 52-55 parts of Fe2O3, 39-42 parts of NiO, 5-8 parts of ZnO, 0.0001-0.0006 part of SnO2, 0.0001-0.0006 part of CaCO3, 0.0001-0.0002 part of Nb2O5, 0.0001-0.0002 part of SiO2, and a modified PVA solution, wherein the content of the modified PVA solution accounts for 5-10 wt% of the total amount of the raw materials. The invention also provides a preparation method of the Ni-Zn soft magnetic ferrite material. The preparation method is simple, the product electrical resistivity is high, and the Ni-Zn soft magnetic ferrite material has good performance of high frequency, high saturation magnetic flux density and low magnetic loss.
