The invention discloses a preparation process for porous silicon carbide spherical powder. The preparation process is characterized by including the steps of mixing mesocarbon microbeads and silicon powder according to the proportion, conducting drying, dire pressing and reaction sintering to obtain porous loose blocks composed of porous silicon carbide spherical particles, conducting low-temperature oxidation to remove surplus carbon, and conducting crushing and screening to obtain the porous silicon carbide spherical powder. The powder is structurally characterized in that the powder size distribution is uniform and a large number of nanometer-scale holes exist inside.
