The invention relates to a preparation method of building materials, belongs to the field of the building materials, and particularly relates to a method for preparing water permeable pavement bricks by means of waste ceramic bricks. Base materials are prepared by mixing base ceramsite, binding agents, fluxing agents and water, wherein the base ceramsite is waste ceramsite obtained by crushing the waste ceramic bricks and is composed of the waste ceramsite with different particle sizes; face materials are prepared by mixing face ceramsite, the binding agents, the fluxing agents and the water, wherein the face ceramsite is the waste ceramsite obtained by crushing the waste ceramic bricks and is composed of the waste ceramsite with different particle sizes. The base materials are added into mold frames of the water permeable pavement bricks or water permeable pavement boards, the base materials are scraped to be smooth through a scraper, then the face materials are added, the thicknesses of the base materials and the face materials are controlled according to product requirements, one-time pressing molding is conducted, and the water permeable pavement bricks are prepared through firing in a kiln at the temperature of 1200 DEG C. According to the method for preparing the water permeable pavement bricks by means of the waste ceramic bricks, the waste ceramic bricks are reused to serve as raw materials, appropriate proportion is conducted on particles of the raw materials, the cost is low, and good properties of water permeable ceramic bricks are achieved.
