The invention relates to a trunk opening method and an automatic induction opening system for a trunk. The method includes the steps that a capacitive sensor arranged in a rear bumper of an automobile measures an electric field change signal; the electric field change signal is converted into a level signal; the level signal is detected, and whether the level signal is a preset action signal or not is judged; and if yes, a trunk opening mechanism is controlled according to the preset action signal to open the trunk. By means of the trunk opening method and the automatic induction opening system, the trunk can be opened automatically, operation is facilitated for users, and the functions of the automobile are more humanized and intelligent; and the trunk opening method and the automatic induction opening system are not only suitable for vehicles with electric trunk opening and closing functions but also suitable for vehicles without electric trunk opening and closing functions, such as vehicles with common gas springs, and are wider in applicable vehicle range, and the vehicle purchase cost is lowered while convenience is improved for users.
