The invention relates to a production method of a meerschaum-based interior wall brick for adsorbing indoor formaldehyde gas. The method comprises the following steps: milling meerschaum in a ball mill to form powder, sieving by a 100-200 mesh sieve, drying undersized meerschaum, measuring the dried meerschaum and a calcareous raw material according to a mass percentage ratio of 50-100%:10-50%, mixing, adding water accounting for 10-40% of the total mass of meerschaum and the calcareous raw material, uniformly stirring, producing a blocky interior wall brick sample under a pressure of 10-40MPa, putting the produced blocky interior wall brick sample in a high pressure hydrothermal reaction kettle, and reacting at a temperature of 100-220DEG C for 3-24h to obtain the meerschaum-based interior wall brick. The method has the advantages of simple process and energy saving, and the above obtained product accords with national relevant standards, can be laid on indoor walls as an interior wall brick, and has formaldehyde adsorption and humidifying enhancement performances.
