The invention discloses an assembled pre-stressed anchor cable wind turbine foundation system and a construction method thereof, and relates to the technical field of large wind turbine generator set fixing in construction engineering. The system is characterized in that a foundation bottom ring, a combined concrete cylinder and a foundation top ring are sequentially arranged on the inner wall of a round foundation pit from bottom to top; a precast concrete bottom element, backfill and a precast concrete top element are sequentially arranged in the combined concrete cylinder from bottom to top; a pre-stressed anchor cable penetrates the foundation bottom ring, a through hole of the combined concrete cylinder and the foundation top ring sequentially from bottom to top; and high-strength nuts are connected to the top surface of the foundation bottom ring and the top surface of the foundation top ring respectively. The foundation is firm; engineering investment is reduced; the construction progress is fast; and especially, the pre-stressed anchor cable can provide larger prestress, it is effectively avoided that a wind turbine tower inclines due to overlarge bending moment, and it can be guaranteed that a wind turbine operates safely under extreme conditions.
