The invention discloses a pottery firing method. The pottery firing method comprises the following steps: material selection: a step of selecting, by weight, 13 to 19 parts of soft soil, 27 to 30 parts of hard soil, 6 to 10 parts of quartz and 15 to 21 parts of melilith and uniformly mixing the raw materials for subsequent usage; material preparation: a step of adding 7 to 9 parts of water into every 10 to 12 parts of the mixed raw materials, putting the obtained mixture into a ball mill and carrying out fine grinding so as to grind the raw materials into slurry with a size of 200 to 300 meshes; blank making: a step of making a blank of a desired pottery from the slurry through casting, blank withdrawing or mechanical compacting and naturally drying the blank in the shade until water content is less than 13%; and glazing: a step of uniformly applying glaze slip on the surface of the dried blank.
