The invention discloses a preparation method for a ceramic filter of a wall-flow type particulate trap used for a diesel engine. The preparation method comprises the following steps: molding a graphite die internally including a skeleton through selective laser sintering; then casting waterborne ceramic slurry into the graphite die and allowing the ceramic slurry to undergo curing molding so as to obtain a green ceramic body; and then carrying out freeze drying, ablation of the graphite die and high temperature sintering so as to eventually obtain the ceramic filter of the wall-flow type particulate trap. The method provided by the invention can rapidly prepare the ceramic filter with a waveform air inlet channel, realizes active control of the porosity and pore size of the wall surface of the ceramic filter and has wide application prospects in the aspect of trapping of particulates in tail gas of the diesel engine.
