The invention relates to the technical field of highway bridge construction and maintenance, in particular to a method for applying external prestress to an assembled slab bridge. The method is wide in application, can be used for upgrading and rebuilding of newly-built bridges and existing bridges and solidification of old bridges, and can also be used for other bridge types.
